Aug 24 | Email Your State Leaders

Writer's picture: ExtendPUA.org TeamExtendPUA.org Team

On Thursday, August 19, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Labor Secretary Marty Walsh sent a letter to Congress on behalf of the Biden White House. They encouraged states to use funds allotted to them in the American Rescue Plan to extend pandemic unemployment insurance programs on a state by state basis. The Biden administration made clear they will not be pushing to extend these programs on a federal level. You can see ExtendPUA.org's thoughts on that here.

Use our easy to send email form to email your state legislators. Your letter will automatically send to your state's Governor and Congresspeople based on your address. We encourage you to customize the letter with your own personal story, but you can also send it as is.
